like children

A few weeks ago, the third and fourth graders at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School were given an art project to do. Their teacher incorporated a faith building exercize into the project. The students were to look up a few different psalms, choose a favorite, write out the words on card stock, and decorate them in any way they chose. The results were such treasures that I just could not keep them to myself! Each day this week, we will feature their artwork as we celebrate kid art, children and childlike faith. We hope you will enjoy it!

And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 18:2-4

Footsteps of Jesus

Footsteps of Jesus

Sweetly, Lord, have we heard Thee calling,
Come, follow Me!
And we see where Thy footprints falling
Lead us to Thee.

Refrain:
Footprints of Jesus,
That make the pathway glow;
We will follow the steps of Jesus
Where’er they go.

Tho’ they lead o’er the cold, dark mountains,
Seeking His sheep;
Or along by Siloam’s fountains,
Helping the weak.
Refrain

If they lead through the temple holy,
Preaching the Word;
Or in homes of the poor and lowly,
Serving the Lord.
Refrain

Then, at last, when on high He sees us,
Our journey done,
We will rest where the steps of Jesus
End at His throne.
Refrain
