contrite

contrite

For this is what the high and exalted One says – He who lives forever, whose name is Holy: “I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.”
Isaiah 57:15

glory

glory

Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. In a loud voice they were saying: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!”

Psalm 104

Ps 104

Psalm 104

The Mountains stand in awe. The thunder speaks Your name.
Creation waits to serve its God With wind and flame.
The heavens know Your pow’r. None question what You do.
The oceans rivot unrestrained But bow to You.

The mighty rains pour down As blessings from above.
The storms that seem to howl and rage Are storms of love.
They water all the earth. Your rivers fuller flow.
They bring the faithful care that all Your creatures know.

Almighty, Sov’reign Lord, I wait at your command.
I live and move and breathe within Your mighty hand.
With earth and sea and sky, With all Your love has made
With ev’ry thought and breath I rise To give You praise.

sunday in my soul

sunday

Sunday in God’s House

I go to the house of God
with sorrow in my soul;
The week behind was grievous
when I lost self-control

Embittered by my rivals,
Embattled by my foes,
I couldn’t feel God’s presence,
didn’t know where to go

Now it’s Sunday, blessed day,
and I know God is here.
I see Him in the faces
of those whom I hold dear

The Praise Team lifts my spirits,
We sing God’s praise on high,
And I know Jesus died for
a sinner such as I

The preacher shares his message,
I whisper my Amen,
And thank God that each Sunday
He gives me grace again

And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
(Hebrews 10:25 ~ NLT Bible)

gratitude

gratitude

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.

mostly

mostly

I grow plants for many reasons: to please my soul, to challenge the elements or to challenge my patience, for novelty, or for nostalgia, but mostly for the joy in seeing them grow.
