Here is a wonderful, cool-weather dish to warm your family on a crisp fall day!
Virginia Baked Tomatoes
Bake 9 buttermilk biscuits — cool
Mix one can diced tomatoes with 3/4 cup sugar — set aside
Melt 1/2 stick butter in an 8×8 pan, add tomatoe mixture
Break biscuits up and stir into tomatoes (most of liquid will be absorbed)
Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour, until brown on top
*you may want to check after 30 minutes and spoon liquid over biscuits
